Cancellation Policy

Phone cancellations are not accepted.  University Courtyard housing applications and California State University, Fresno admission are separate processes. It is your responsibility to notify each office separately if you do not plan to attend. We recommend submitting the Cancellation Form via certified mail to ensure proper delivery.

Current 2012-2013 University Courtyard Residents:

If you are currently living on-campus you will need to submit a Petition For Cancellation Form.  These forms are available at the Atrium Customer Service Desk.  All Petition For Cancellations must be submitted during business hours, Monday thru Friday - 8am to 5pm, with a $50 processing fee.  Your petition will be subject to approval by the Director of Housing.  If your petition is denied, the $50 processing fee you paid will be credited to your housing account.  For more information, please view the Petition For Cancellation Guidelines attached to the form available at the Atrium Customer Service Desk.  You can also email your questions to Laura Pimentel, Coordinator of Housing Operations, at lpimentel@csufresno.edu.

New Spring 2013 Cancellation Policy

Must submit cancellation form via certified mail, email, or in person to University Courtyard to
indicate they will not be living on campus.

October 31 - $50 cancellation fee assessed
Nov 1 - Dec 15 - $150 assessed (Last day to cancel without additional assessments)
Dec 16 – Jan 14 - $150 assessed along with $25 per day fee
January 15 - Petition for Cancellation Form available

Summer 2013 Cancellation Policy (subject to Change)

Must submit cancellation form via certified mail, email, or in person to University Courtyard to
indicate they will not be living on campus.

All residents who cancel their summer housing application will be assessed a $50 cancellation
processing fee. If notice of cancellation is given less than 14 days prior to start of your summer
stay, an additional assessment of up to $25 per day will be assessed (such assessment not to
exceed $350).

2013-2014 Academic Year Cancellation Policy

Must submit cancellation form via certified mail, email, or in person to University Courtyard to
indicate they will not be living on campus.

May 31 - $50 cancellation fee assessed
June 1 – July 17 - $150 assessed (Last day to cancel w/o additional assessments)
July 18 – August 16 - $150 assessed along with $25 per day fee
August 17 - Petition for Cancellation Form available
