We're glad you are considering or have decided to encourage your son or daughter to live at University Courtyard, Fresno State's only on-campus living area. The information provided throughout our website will help you understand the advantages of your son or daughter living on campus, the financial responsibility, deadlines, guidelines and policies, and opportunities to let your son or daughter know you are thinking of them.

Living on-campus simplifies college life by consolidating the majority of living expenses into one package. The assigned room and selected meal plan fee includes a furnished room (majority of rooms are double occupancy), paid utilities (electricity, gas, water, garbage, and sewer), individual license agreement (resident is responsible only for their room and meal plan fees – no need to collect money from roommate(s) or suitemate(s), Public Safety Assistants patrol every night and an electronic key card system for bedroom and exterior doors. During the academic year we have 24 hours/7 days professional and live-in on-call staff, Atrium Customer Service Desk, and University Police response.

Have your son or daughter apply early for on-campus living and the university, as this can alleviate the stress of missing deadlines or being placed on the housing waiting list. University and University Courtyard applications are usually available during October for the following academic year or Spring. Whether your son or daughter is a new resident or current resident that wants to return, a complete on-campus living application packet is required (See Glossary of Terms).

It is important that you read the on-campus living application packet. Several aspects of the license agreement, as well as related University Courtyard procedures and deadlines, are discussed throughout the application packet. There are financial responsibilities that must be met if your son or daughter applies for and is assigned a bed. You may also like to review the current year’s guidelines and policies in the Student Handbook and Weekly Planner.
