New Furniture at University Courtyard!
As you should have noticed by now, we’ve got new common area furniture in the Hall Lobbies and Atrium. Please be respectful of the new furniture and treat it as if it was your own. Enjoy!
ATTENTION FEMALES:
Please do not flush ANY female products down the toilet – all products must be disposed of in the trash. Failure to do so will cause your toilet to clog. Be respectful of your suite-mates and hall-mates and following our rules.
Food = Unwanted Furry Friends
To prevent mice from moving in, it’s important that you dispose of all left over food and keep all uneaten food sealed and put away. Though we take measures in keeping rodents out of Courtyard, all residents must help with the prevention.
Four Ways To Stay Health During Flu Season:
1. Wash your hands
2. Sneeze into a Kleenex or into the cuff of your arm
3. If you are sick, isolate yourself from others yourself
4. Get flu vaccine

Monica Rivera (Resident Advisor)
Housing Happenings: Why do you like being an RA?
Monica Rivera: I love being an RA because I get to meet and work with all different types of people. I really enjoy the job, it’s been a great experience so far.
H.H.: What was your favorite cartoon/TV show in the 90s?
M.R.: It’s a tie between Saved by the Bell and Full House.
H.H.: Who was your high school celebrity crush and why?
M.R.: I’d have to say Cole Hamels because I love baseball and I think he is a really good baseball player and role model. He’s a cutie too!
H.H.: If you could be on America’s Got Talent, what would be your talent?
M.R.: Probably writing my name with my feet.
H.H.: What is your favorite food and why?
M.R.: Ice Cream, because it makes everything better.
H.H.: Do you have any brothers and sisters? If not explain.
M.R.: Yes, I do… I am a middle child. I have the best siblings ever, an older sister and a younger brother.
H.H.: What song always makes you happy when you hear it? Explain
M.R.: Hmmmm, that’s a tough one. I’d have to say Mayberry by Rascal Flatts. First of all because it’s country and I LOVE country music, and second of all because I think it has a good message, it reminds me to not make life so complicated.
H.H.: What was the best vacation you ever had and why?
M.R.: A family vacation I took to Orlando, Florida with my family when I was younger. I got to visit the Disney theme parks and spend a lot of time with my family. Tons of great memories from that vacation.

Pet Bear Kills Owner
Kelly Ann Walz was killed on Sunday when her pet bear mauled her. She had entered the animal's 15' x 15' enclosure to feed the bear and clean the cage when the attack happened.
State officials say that a neighbor shot and killed the bear, and that an investigation is ongoing.
Ms. Walz had a permit to keep the bear, as well as a Bengal tiger and an African lion. Her property had been inspected numerous times, and always passed.

Driver Involved in Four Crashes in Seven Minutes
Wisconsin: 23-year-old Kiriko T. Masasi is recovering in hospital after being involved in four crashes over a distance of four miles. Of the drivers in the other vehicles he hit only one was injured.

Facebook Removes Poll Asking Whether President Obama Should be Assassinated
Facebook has been forced to remove a poll, which was user-generated, that asked whether the President of the United States should be killed. The answers included yes, no, maybe and "if he cuts my health care".
The poll is now being investigated by the US secret service. Over 750 users took part in the poll, with some expressing their disgust at the question. One said it was "sick and sad" and another said "All of this anti-Obama rage is pure racism".
The poll generator is an outside application which has now been completely removed from Facebook. It will be reinstated when the third-party developer ensures Facebook that the offensive poll has been removed.
