Man Jumps From Empire State Building and Dies
A young 21-year-old man committed suicide by jumping from the 102-story building on Tuesday.
Shortly after the incident, authorities would not publish his name or say where he exactly jumped from. The Empire State Building opened in 1931. Since then, 30 people have committed suicide by jumping from the skyscraper.
It is 1,454 feet high and is the third-tallest building in the US.

Skateboarding Owl Is a Hoot -- See Picture Here
Shoppers at the mall in Folkestone, Kent, have recently been treated to watching Alby the skateboarding owl. Alby, who is 13, may never have discovered his new found love if his owner, Brian Maxted, 73, hadn´t brought him to the mall one day.
Maxted runs the Folkestone Owl Sanctuary, and bring owls to the mall to try to get donations. A boy stopped to look at them, put down his skateboard, and Alby, who´d been asleep, woke up and jumped on the board. They pulled him along and he loved it.
Maxted decided to get Alby a small skateboard of his very own. Alby has since developed a swooping technique, where he flies around in a small circle, swoops in on the board, and rides the momentum until the board stops, then repeats.

3D Phone Makes Appearance -- See Video Demo Here
A phone featuring a 3D display made an appearance at a recent event held in London.
Hitachi´s new phone, the "Wooo H001", resembles several past clamshell phone designs however it also sports a 3.1-inch stereoscopic 854x480 screen. Since a stereoscopic lens is in place over the screen there is no need to don a pair of 3D glasses.
According to one person who saw the device in action, "The 3D is actually pretty effective. A pretty impressive viewing experience all around." Though the phone is restricted to the Asian market, other companies will no doubt follow suit. Video at source.
