MC Monk Raps the Word - See Video of MC Monk here

Even though monk Kansho Tagai could not understand the English lyrics in the rap music he heard, he just fell in love with the vibes. He has mastered the moonwalk and has become the hippest monk on the block.

With him being a part of the hip hop music scene, he is drawing in the younger generations towards Buddhism, getting the lyrics to get his religious Buddhist teaching across to today’s younger Japanese society.

Dressed in sports gear, the monk amazes his new fans, including Yuriko Watanabe, who said: "He really amazes everyone with his talent. When I first saw him on the stage, I was like ´Wow!´"

Ninja Restaurant Opens

A Ninja-themed restaurant has been opened in Taipei to rousing success in a city that is chock-full of themed dining opportunities. Diners are met by ninja waitresses, equipped with swords and flares of flame that scoot across the tables.

The owner of the restaurant, Ou Chia-wei, also owns a hospital-themed restaurant in the city, "liked ninjas and figured that would be a pretty obvious, visual theme for the restaurant," according to the establishment´s sales manager.

Waitresses are encouraged to pose for photos with diners, and should one walk into the restaurant at the right time, they would be treated to magic shows and cabarets as well as the usual visual fanfare.

Woman Arrested After Asking "Why?"

Four women, including Minnie Carey of Atlanta, Georgia, were making plans for the funeral of their friend when Atlanta Police officer Brandy Dolson told them to move along. All moved along except for Carey, aged 61 at that time, who then asked the question: "Why?"

Carey, who has diabetes, was then incarcerated without food for 9 hours. The handcuffs allegedly caused her hands to become swollen. Before this, she had never been to jail in her 15 years of living in Atlanta.

Carey´s case was strung out with three court dates. The first court date the prosecutor failed to appear. In the second and third cases, Dolson failed to appear. As a result, the disorderly conduct charge was dismissed.
