Kaelyn Rodrgiuez (Resident Advisor)
Hi, My name is Kaelyn Rodriguez and I’m a junior at Fresno State. I’ve been a RA for a while, but I’m very happy to be back again this semester. I am an Art History major, and I love my program! Some of the core requirements are options of printmaking, photography, ceramics, crafts, and sculpture. It’s thrilling that I have to take these amazing classes that I know I will enjoy. The importance that we learn about creativity and historical practice of art and architecture is very fulfilling to me, and I honestly look forward to my classes each week. We are currently having an opening every Thursday evening at 5:00 PM at Conley Art Gallery, featuring a different grad student every week. The support from staff and fellow student who participate in this event is very encouraging for the artists, and everyone is welcome to share in the celebration of the arts!

Woman Jailed for Having 13-Year-Old Ride in Box on Top of Van
Alabama: 37-year-old Jackie Knott has been sentenced to 90 days in prison, driving school, 40 hours of community service, a parenting class, and two years probation for endangering the welfare of a child for having a teen ride in a box on a van roof.
Police were alerted to to the situation by motorists who observed the 13-year-old riding on the roof. Knott allegedly told officers that the box was too big to go in the vehicle and that the teen was weighing it down.
Knott will actually spend only five days in prison.

Man Tasered by Police After Rescuing People From His Burning House
Kent, Ohio: Mike Bartlett was tackled and restrained by officers before Tasering him last Sunday morning, this after coming home to a house fire, alerting two friends in the basement, checking for his sister, and retrieving his cousin's girlfriend.
"As I was running downstairs, I could hear the window glass popping because of the heat." Bartlett said officers dismissed him when approached at the end of his driveway, giving no reason for subduing him. A police report said he resisted arrest.
The officers offered no medical attention to Bartlett; they said he was drunk and combative, and took him back to the station. It was only after he appeared in court later in the day that his first- and second-degree burns were treated at a hospital.

Boyfriend Bails on Wedding, Woman Calls 911
A Clarksville, TN woman has been arrested for a second time in as many weeks for making non-emergency phone calls to 911. This week's arrest stems from repeated 911 calls stating that her boyfriend was no longer willing to marry her.
In addition, officers report that Hee Orama, 34, was arrested last week after calling 911 numerous times to report that she could not find her car.
Orama claimed that the man had lied to her about wanting to get married. Officers went to her house four separate times, warning her about her abuse of 911, then issuing a citation, and finally arresting her.

Breakfast Pizza
Ingredients:
× 1 prepared thin pizza crust (about 10 ounces), such as Boboli
× 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
× 8 large eggs
× 1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, cooked and squeezed dry, reserving 1 tablespoon of the liquid
× 1 cup chopped onion, about 1 medium onion
× Kosher salt
× Freshly ground black pepper
× 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
- Brush the pizza crust on both sides with 1 tablespoon olive oil. Place crust directly onto the middle rack of the oven and bake for 10 minutes.
- While the crust is cooking, break the eggs into a bowl and add the reserved spinach liquid. Whisk them well and season them with salt and pepper. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil to a 10-inch skillet and heat over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until translucent, about 4 minutes. Add the dry spinach, breaking up the pieces, and heat through, about 2 minutes. Scrape the vegetable mixture into the eggs and beat it well to distribute the spinach evenly. Turn the heat down to low and pour the egg mixture back into the pan. Gently stir the eggs until they are just set and still moist, about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Spread the egg mixture evenly onto the baked pizza crust and top with the cheese. Return to the oven until the cheese is melted and lightly browned, about 1 minute. Serve hot.
