All fee-paying students at Fresno State can be involved in some aspect of the organization. There are elections each spring where students can vote on the executive and senator positions. Once elected, a student representative will hold their position from June 1st – May 31st. Students can also serve on various committees. Academic senate, student affairs, campus-wide and ASI are different branches of committees that are available. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the many programs offered by ASI. Some of those programs include: laptop lending, newspaper readership and club funding. If you have any questions, feel free to give ASI a call at 278-8656, stop by our office in the University Student Union 317, or visit www.asi.csufresno.edu. The Senator of Resident Affairs The Senator of Resident Affairs is responsible for representing the interests and voices of the residents of University Courtyard when voting on issues that come before the ASI Senate. University Courtyard houses the largest concentration of Fresno State students, and it is important that this body weighs in on the various campus issues, such as public safety, traffic and parking, plant operations, and auxiliary operations like food services.
If you have any questions for me personally, would like to schedule a meeting, or would like me to bring something before the ASI Senate, please email me at cmanofm1@csufresno.edu. |
